The Department of Computational linguistics has been carrying out scientific and related activities in several directions:
- theoretical and applied research in the field of theoretical and computational linguistics and natural language processing;
- organisation of scientific conferences in the field of computational linguistics and natural language processing;
- education of students, doctoral students, postdocs and field researchers in programmes in computational linguistics;
- organisation of colloquiums in the field of theoretical and computational linguistics and natural language processing with a focus on Bulgarian.
