Following its inception in the 2024 edition of the Conference, the CLIB Programme Committee will confer a Promising Young Researcher Award.

The winner will be selected according to the following criteria:

  • The author should be a young researcher (possibly working in collaboration with other authors).
  • The paper presented at the Conference deals with a topic related to artificial intelligence.
  • The research focuses on low-resource languages.
  • The author provides free access to resources and code.

The monetary award is provided by the LERAI Foundation.

For the first time in the history of the Conference, the CLIB Programme Committee will present two Young Researcher Awards: one for Best Oral Presentation and one for Best Poster Presentation. The awards recognise outstanding scientific contributions and excellence in presentation by early-career researchers participating in the Conference.

The recipients will be selected by the CLIB Programme Committee and IBM Bulgaria representatives according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • The presenter is a young researcher (including presentations co-authored with senior researchers).
  • The work demonstrates scientific originality, innovation, and potential impact.
  • The research exhibits a high level of scientific and technical quality, including sound methodology and well-supported conclusions.
  • The presentation is clear, well structured, and effectively communicates the objectives, methods, results, and significance of the research.
  • The presenter demonstrates excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of the subject.
  • The presenter effectively engages with the audience and provides clear and accurate responses during the discussion.
  • For poster presentations, the poster is scientifically informative, visually well organised, and supports effective interaction with conference participants.

The non-monetary awards are provided by IBM Bulgaria, whose support makes these awards possible.
