The book Language Resources and Technologies for Bulgarian language contains papers and articles that present some of the results obtained within two international projects – CESAR: Central and Southern European language resources and ATLAS: Applied Technology for Language-Aided CMSApplied Technology for Language-Aided CMS. The main outcome of the project CESAR is the expansion and distribution of a wide range of language resources and tools for language processing. The main achievement of the ATLAS project is the integration of language technologies into web-based content management.
The book presents a variety of language resources (mono- and multilingual corpora, annotated parallel corpora, dictionaries, lexical-semantic networks, etc.) and tools for language processing. Language resources and tools are applicable in a variety of socially oriented software solutions – speaking devices for people with visual disabilities; automatic summarization of multiple documents written in different languages; search by voice commands; automatic translation for specialized domains and variety of language pairs; intelligent assistants for information extraction, tailored to different user interests, and many others.
