Public transport: A single-trip ticket costs 1 BGN (~0.50 EUR). It entitles you to carry a certain number of luggage pieces. Tickets can be bought from kiosks at the bus stops or from bus drivers. Note that bus drivers don’t always have tickets at their disposal so, if possible, buy one in advance. Tickets need to be punched after boarding the bus, tram or trolley.

Alternatively, on trams and trolleys you can buy a ticket from the vending machines located behind the driver’s cabin. These tickets need not be punched.

Tickets for the Metro are sold at the vending machines and the kiosks located at stations’ entrances.

Taxi:Taxi fares are approximately 0.80 BGN (~0.40 EUR) / km during the day and about 1.00 BGN (~0.5 EUR) / km between 10 p.m and 6 a.m.
