From the night of April 25, the Macalester chapter of this Minnesota Public Interest analysis Group (MPIRG) held a city hall on wages and work as an element of its push to make usage of a $15 minimal wage for all subcontracted workers.
The big event, which happened within the Smail Gallery in the very first flooring for the Olin-Rice Science Hall, showcased two people in the Macalester management: Vice President of management and Finance David Wheaton and Associate Vice President for Finance Patricia Langer.
Governmental technology professor Lesley Lavery, Noah Stieglitz ’18 and 15 Now Minnesota organizer Celeste Robinson ’16 moderated a discussion with Wheaton and Langer, before pupils had the chance to inquire of one’s own when you look at the half that is final for the discussion. Continue reading
