My area of research is machine translation between inflectional languages, focusing on Bulgarian as target language. After more than a decade of nearly explosive growth in SMT little has been done to improve the generation of complex morphology.
I was a PhD student at the Department of Computational Linguistics under Svetla Koeva's supervision from 2010 until 2013. Drawing on an extensive experience as translator and interpreter and a solid background in computer science I am interested in building linguistically motivated components of MT systems.

2009 MA in Computational Linguistics, University of Sofia
2004- BA in Scandinavian Studies, University of Sofia
2004 BA in English and American Studies, University of Sofia
2009 Research assistant at the Department of Computational Linguistics. Work focused on automatic grammar correction of Bulgarian (grammar checker)
