My area of research is machine translation between inflectional languages, focusing on Bulgarian as target language. After more than a decade of nearly explosive growth in SMT little has been done to improve the generation of complex morphology.

I am currently a PhD student at the Department of Computational Linguistics under Svetla Koeva's supervision. Drawing on an extensive experience as translator and interpreter I am interested in building linguistically-motivated components of MT systems.
